PEP (Politically Exposed Person)
The Politically Exposed Person (PEP: Politically Exposed Person) is a definition of Italian legislation to indicate a series of people who hold or have held in the recent past public positions of particular importance, their family members and those who have close ties with them.
The term is defined in the Anti-Money Laundering Decree Legislative Decree 231/2007 amended by Legislative Decree 90/2017 art. 1, paragraph 2, lett. dd
